Mark Rutledge

Traditional Pow-Wow Dancer

Sharing Tradition, Wisdom and Culture

It has long been the tradition of the Wolf Clan to reach out to the many Peoples of Mother Earth, and share the Earth Wisdom, Prophecy and Philosophy of the Ojibway. It is a Dream of Peace long in the unfolding of time coming forward in our consciousness and shared from our hearts.

Mark Rutledge is Ojibway (Wolf Clan) from the Little Grand Rapids First Nation. Born in Red Lake, Ontario and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He has been a men’s traditional pow-wow dancer for over 10 years and loves to share his heritage and culture with those who want to learn more about First Nations culture. He has performed at many festivals and events in Ontario and here in the Yukon.

Mark loves it when his three children, Darryl, Daniel and Danica join him to showcase their culture. They are all pow-wow dancers and have performed for audiences large and small.

When Mark is not performing, you can find him working as a Graphic Designer with Outside the Cube. He has over 15 years of experience as a designer and has worked with many Fortune 500 companies and First Nation’s organizations throughout Canada and the United States. Although Mark is relatively new to the Yukon, he has found a place to call home.
