Ravenstail Weaver

Erin Pauls is of Tahltan and Tlingit descent and a member of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations. My ancestral name is Kothetty and I come from the Cheyone Clan, which is the wolf of the Tahltan Nation. I was born in raised in Yukon, Canada. I live with my spouse Blake Lepine and our three children Trina, Jordan and Salix. I am a “Ravenstail Weaver” and learned the basics from Lily Hope and Vanessa Aegirsdottir. I am a new weaver and am eager to learn more about weaving and studies the art every chance I get. I fell in love with weaving and the tranquility and power that is exuded from my spirit when I am at my loom. I am a proud member performing artist with the Dakhka Khwaan Dancers. Making regalia is what initiated my discovery and love of weaving. I am also a traditional drum maker and regalia maker. As a born and raised Yukoner, it is an honor to share my passion for weaving with the Adäka Festival.
