Musician/ Abstract Drawings

I am a 26 year-old indigenous artist born in Whitehorse and currently working in Vancouver.

I’ve been creating art as long as I can remember! Making drawings of dragons, landscapes, and interesting objects.

Towards the end of my time at Queen’s University (2019) , I rediscovered my love of drawing and began creating abstract pieces in my notebooks.

Since then, I’ve continued down this artistic path. The pandemic in particular provided a great opportunity to dive deeply into my visual art and develop my style much further.

I practice a kind of automatic drawing, aiming to achieve a meditative flow state by laying down lines, dots, patterns, colours and shapes. Often accompanied by an audiobook or music, my only goal is to create something beautiful.

Often viewers will see animals, faces or plants in the finished pieces. Since I keep the drawing subjects abstract, I love to hear what others see when they experience the artworks.

Drawing is a deeply important part of my life and creative spirit. This year I’m beginning the process of showcasing and selling my artworks, and hopefully support the creation of even more art!
