Jean’s inspiration to become an artist is rooted in witnessing her elder relatives creating as she was growing up. Paintings of snowshoes, mukluks and moccasins were favorite subjects. Her favorite activity as a child was drawing and her mother commented that she was drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil. Jean began showing her work in 2002.
